Angel is the author of a new self-help book, “Too Happy to Be Sad Girl," and recently she was recognized by Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez for her book— the first woman and only woman of color to hold this position in the City of Angels.

Angel's experience in the spotlight, is what inspired her to help others and write about surviving sadness, ditching anxiety, and learning to thrive. On this episode Angel and I talk about all those things and what it means to put yourself first.
